In the May edition of Slackline Creative Arts Series, we have another amazing line-up of artists that we are incredibly excited about.

Bios (if wanted):

SANCHARI SUR is a feminist/anti-racist/sex-positive/genderqueer Canadian who was born in Calcutta, India. Her work has been published in JaggeryThe Feminist WireMatrix Magazine, and is forthcoming in Toronto Lit Up’s The Unpublished City anthology. She is a doctoral student of Can lit at Wilfrid Laurier University, the curator/founder of Balderdash Reading Series, Social Media Editor at The Rusty Toque, and blogs at

DAVID ALEXANDER is the author of the chapbooks Modern Warfare from Anstruther Press (2016) and Chicken Scratch from Puddles of Sky Press (2014). Poems have appeared in Hamilton Arts & Letters, the Malahat ReviewCV2, the Puritan, the Rusty ToquePoetry is Dead,Feathertale Review, and Prairie Fire. He lives in Toronto and works in the nonprofit sector.

RASIQRA REVULVA is a Toronto-based poet, multi-media artist, editor, musician, and performer with a distinct zoological reflex. Her poetry has been shortlisted for the Judith Eve Gewurtz Memorial Poetry Prize, the First Annual Jane Lumley Poetry Prize, and untethered‘s First Poetry Prize; recently published by untetheredHart House Review, and In/Words Magazine; and recently performed at the second annual Naked Heart LGBTQ Literary Festival, and Nuit Blanche Toronto. Her debut chapbook of poetry and glitch-art illustration titled Cephalopography was published by Words(on)Pages Press in October, 2016. KIRSTEN BUSSIÈRE is poet and prose author from Canada’s capital city. She has worked writing book reviews for eight years and has been a volunteer with Arc Poetry Magazine since 2013. To date, Kirsten has had a number of poems published in various magazines and anthologies, most recently in the In/Words Refuge(e) issue. While pursuing a Master’s Degree in English and Digital Humanities, Kirsten is also currently working on a larger collection of poetry. Her website is:
