Room Magazine

Room logo

Room is Canada’s oldest feminist literary journal. Published quarterly by the West Coast Feminist Literary Magazine Society, Room showcases fiction, poetry, reviews, art, interviews and profiles about the female experience. The editors envision Room as an open forum for women writers, including trans* persons, gender-variant and two-spirit women, and women of non-binary sexual orientations. Since 1975, Room has published thousands of women and serves as an important launching pad for emerging writers. Past contributors include Carol Shields, Eden Robinson, Marian Engel, Nalo Hopkinson, Larissa Lai, Lorna Crozier, Ivan Coyote, Evelyn Lau, Bronwen Wallace, Erin Mouré, and Shani Mootoo.
